Once below the rim, the descent is through another flower filled meadow.
After crossing the meadow, the trail begins dropping through aspen. The first couple of hundred feet have lots of switchbacks to ease the way through rimrock.
After a short segment through woods, the trail crosses Flowing Park, which was filled with wildflowers (lupine here)
