Permanent water and fall color in Dog Canyon. Eventually the wind died down and we headed to WHite Sands after lunch.
I had hoped to head over to White Sands early in the day, but it was very windy and we could see sand blowing like crazy. So we did a short hike along Dog Canyon, which is quite interesting
That evening it clouded up, so no Milky Way images. Lots of light pollution reflecting off the clouds from nearby Alamogordo. Each camp site has a very robust concrete block shelter nearby.
