Fall Color Photoshoot #3
I led another outing for the Pagosa Springs Photo Club in early October. We went to the Navaho River area first. Most of the cottonwoods along the river had lost their leaves due to recent storms. But the aspens near Navaho Peak were nice. We then went up Buckles Lake Rd to a viewpoint where V Rock and Navaho Peak are visible across a valley filled with aspens and oaks. We were chased by squalls of snow and sleet all afternoon, with clearing in between. For those who waited out the snow showers, the storm lighting shortly before sunset was spectacular.
