Graham Peak Ascent
At 12,531 ft, Graham Peak is the monarch of the Pine-Piedra divide. There appear to be multiple routes to the top. The one we took was about 2.9 mi for a climb of 2400 ft. From the summit, there are glorious views in every direction, from the south San Juans to Rio Grande Pyramid, to the Grenadiers and beyond. A different return route was a bit more direct, about 2.6 miles. Back to the cars just as the afternoon's thunder storms began. Another great hike in the San Juan Mountains!
