Fall Color in Spiler Canyon
With snow forecast for the higher elevations, we turned to Plan B for our Thursday Outdoor Club Hike. Plan B was a semi-loop hike at Spiler Canyon. This turned out to be perfect timing, as fall color there was superb. We had a few brief rain or sleet showers to provide extra excitement, and plenty of the material for which we have named a side canyon used for part of the hike (Bear Poop). Great views of the storm clouds over the San Juan Mountains, too.
