Table Mountain Hike, June 2018

One of the premier Alpine hikes near Pagosa Springs is, fortunately, in the Rio Grande National Forest. Which Is NOT closed due to fire danger, like the San Juan NF. So we drove over the pass and scouted a new trailhead for a hike to Table Mountain. A lovely 8 mile hike led us to the 12,700 ft summit, a huge expanse of tundra meadows. The weather was great, and the Alpine areas had a terrific variety of wildflowers blooming.
