Moab Winter Photo Trip

On our first day in Moab, we gathered for an afternoon photo shoot near the Garden of Eden area in Arches Natiaonl Park.

We got up about 5:30 for sunrise the next day, and headed back to the Windows area. It was qute chilly, mabye about 25. That feels cold when just standing around waiting for the light. Here, Sunrise on Turret Arch

After our early morning session, folks scattered to different parts of the Park. I wanted to scout the Three Gossips area for later in the week, so Sue and I did a short hike there.

For our second afternoon session, we hiked to Delicate Arch. We had been warned that there was a very icy seciont of the trail, but after talking to people coming BACK from Delicate, it sounded OK, and was. This is the view from "Frame Arch".

With the light fading, we hiked back to the Trailhead. This is the spot that had been iced over until a day or two ago. By the time we reached our cars, headlamps were needed.
