Aransas National Wildlife Refuge, December, 2012

Sue and I hadn't been to Aransas National Wildlife Refuge for years, so we recently made the short 3 hr drive from Bastrop to the Rockport area to spend 2 1/2 days in search of Whooping Cranes, Alligators, and such other wildlife as we might see. Seeing the magnificent but highly endangered whoopers is a real treat, and I suspect we'll be back. Maybe with bigger glass next time!
