Bosque Del Apache, Dec 2012
As part of our detour across New Mexico, we visited Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge to see the sunrise “blast off” of thousands of Snow Geese and Sandhill Cranes. Really a phenomenal sight; I consider it a real life list moment. According to the Refuge survey, there were about 38,000 Snow Geese and 7800 Sandhill Cranes present at the time we visited. The sights-and sounds-were incredible.
