A winter walk via snow shoe at the Chimney Rock National Monument (nice to use the new name!). Chimney Rock is the most northerly of the Chacoan outliers built by the Ancestral Puebloans (AKA Anaszi).

From the Great Kiva, Companion Rock and the Great House are just visible through the trees. When occupied, there were probably few trees on the site (most having been cut for construction or fire wood).
