A winter walk via snow shoe at the Chimney Rock National Monument (nice to use the new name!). Chimney Rock is the most northerly of the Chacoan outliers built by the Ancestral Puebloans (AKA Anaszi).

The half moon above Chimney Rock's Great House. There is some evidence that the Great House was built to observe the once every 18.6 year lunar standstill, when the full moon appears to rise between the twin pillars of Chimney and Companion Rocks.
