John Muir Trail, Days 1-4, August 2013
When Susan Milford and Betsy Cotton invited us to backpack with them on the south-most section of the John Muir Trail, we jumped at the chance. The group also included Joan Harris and Will Dunbar. For Susan and Betsy, they would be completing the 200+ mile trail, most of which they hiked 3 years ago. For me, I would be doing the section just south of the portion i had hiked last year. We began the hike by going in and over Kearsarge Pass, with an exit at Whitney Portal 8 days later. This album covers the first 4 days, Onion Valley trailhead to Tyndall Frog Ponds.
