McKinney Roughs Biosurvey, April 10, 2013
When I left the house, it was in the 70’s. Twenty minutes later, at McKinney Roughs, the temperature had dropped to 50°, and a chilly drizzle was falling. Duty calls, so an intrepid band of Master Naturalists forged ahead with the day’s (short) biosurvey hike. While the dark sky and chilly rain didn't make for optimal photography, any day with a Matalea reticulata in bloom is a good day!
