Summitville 2014

Summitville is an abandoned mining town high in the San Juan Mountains, at about 11,500 feet. It's hard to imagine, but at one time some 1500 people lived here. Now it's just weathered boards. And a superfund site to clean up the mining waste across the valley. These photos were taken on a field trip by the Pagosa Springs photography club.
