Santiago, Punta Arenas and Penguins
On our way to Patagonia, Sue and I flew first to Santiago Chile, where we linked up with friends Roger and Susie. We spent an afternoon in Santiago, visiting the excellent Pre-Columbian art museum, and the Mercado Central. The next day we flew on to Punta Arenas, where we did a day trip to see penguins and other wildlife in the Strait of Magellan.

After our overnight flight to Santiago, we met up with Roger and Susie and headed into the city to shake off the long flight. Here Sue, Roger and Susie are heading towards the Pre-Columbian art museum.
