Dark Canyon-Peavine Backpack, October 2016

Sue and I have done 3 previous backpacks in the Dark Canyon drainage, in the Bears Ears area of eastern Utah. But there was one section of the canyon that we had not hiked, between Woodenshoe and Peavine canyons. So when Susan suggested this loop, we agreed immediately. The hike was great, but the overnight temperatures were 10-15° colder than forecast, with lows in the teens and 20s, which did create some problems!
