MLK Snow Fun
Over the MLK holiday weekend, I did 3 snow outings. First up: snowshoeing to the Hoodoos with Sue, Keetna, Cary, Mike and Doug. After a few snow showers at the beginning, it turned out to be a glorious day. Next day, Doug and I cross-country skied near the East Fork Piedra River on FS 633, about 6 miles. Another blue bird day and great exercise. On Monday, it was a San Juan Outdoor Club snowshoe to Horse Mountain, led by Gregg Howard. I had not been there before and the views are just stunning. Three days, three great outings with friends and family in the San Juan Mountains.
