Peru 3-Lima and Trujillo
Before we visited the Sacred Valley and trekked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, Sue and I spent two days in Lima, touring the city and visiting some of the ancient ruins from the Lima and Wari periods there. The coastal civilizations of Peru go back thousands of years, and contributed to what the Inca later became. And after our trek, we visited Turjillo, further north on Peru's Pacific Coast, to visit Moche and Chimú ruins. Really some amazing civiliations that grew in those areas.
