Two Hikes in the San Juans, June, 2016
When your weekend visitors have been your hiking buddies for over 35 years, the logical thing to do is: go hiking. And so we did. We started Roger and Susie on an easy (but hot) hike on Ice Cave Ridge, which has great views of the Piedra country. The next day, we did a longer 7 mile hike to "Lizzie Lake" in the South San Juans. Great aspen, nice views at the lake, and Fairy Slipper orchids as a bonus.
