Utah Road Trip Part 3: Snow Canyon
For the 3rd and last part of our spring road trip to Utah, we drove to Snow Canyon State Park, oustide of St. George, UT. Despite having subdiviions virtually to the park boundary, it is a great park, quite beautiful, and with a good selection of nearby trails. We (our Outdoor Club group) were in a group campsite, which had a nice big shelter for when it rained, which it did. In addition to the park itself, a highlight for me was hiking in the Yant Flats/ Candy Cliffs area of the Dixie Natioinal Forest, which I've wanted to visit for some time. A few of us finished the trip with an overnight stay at Valley of the Gods near Bluff, UT. Sue and I did one final hike on BLM land near Cortez, CO. WE had some windy days, cold days, and rainy days on the trip, but still lots of great times exploring more of southern Utah!
