Sue, Mike and Cary are climbing the slopes of Trail Ridge. It's about 600 ft in the first 2 miles, then gentle ups and downs.
Atop the ridge, Bob is making his way through the aspen.
At the end of about 4.5 mi of skiing, we take off the skis and walk across the narrow neck to the Overlook. This is Sue.
You can see both sides of the "neck" here
At the overlook, time for lunch and enjoyment of the stunning views. Across the valley is Pagosa Peak.

And in the other direction, is Graham Peak,
Cary and Sue at our lunch stop. The Piedra valley is far below us here. In the distance are the South San Juan Mountains.
About 900 ft below our lunch spot is the mostly frozen Piedra River
Sue is back on her skis and ready for the return

Nice little aspen grove
Another view of Pagosa Peak and the surrounding mountains as we start our descent.
Steve is headed downhill to the cars. Just a little shortcut
Steve playing on a nice downhill section
And Mike managed to get in some telemark turns.
